I. The following drill groups are presented as a review of the forms and uses of the auxiliaries discussed in this unit. Speed and fluency as well as accuracy should be emphasized in drilling this material. II. The following exercises present the most common UNREAL or SUBJUNCTlVE forms and uses of the auxiliaries discussed in this unit. pay particular attention to the implications for meaning of the use of the different auxiliaries in their UNREAL or SUBJUNCTlVE forms, but remember that this is not a translation exercise. The English sentences are there primarily as cues for the equivalent German sentences. The latter should be practiced for rapid and fluent production from the given cue. a.
